1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files saved to your browser when you visit a website. They perform functions such as keeping your session open, remembering your preferences and measuring how the site is used. This policy covers not only classic cookies but also similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage, which are your browser's local storage areas. Nesoi stores some of your preferences in these local storage areas rather than in cookies.
2. Strictly Necessary Cookies
Without these cookies the site and the panel do not work; they cannot be switched off and they do not require consent:
- Session cookie (next-auth.session-token.nesoi-site): Keeps your session open once you have signed in. It is valid for the duration of the session.
- SSO cookie (nesoi_auth_token): Allows you to move between the marketing site and the management panel with a single session. It is valid for a maximum of 24 hours and is deleted when you sign out.
- Security and CSRF cookies: Protect form submissions and authentication flows against forged requests.
- Language preference: In connection with the language prefix in the address bar and your browser's language preference, ensures that the site opens in the correct language.
3. Functional Storage (localStorage)
The following preferences are stored solely in your browser, without being sent to our server, and you may clear them at any time from your browser settings:
- nesoi_currency: Remembers the currency preference you have selected on the site.
- Theme preference: If you have selected the light or dark theme, ensures that the same theme is applied on your next visit.
- Navigation and scroll position (sessionStorage): Allows you to return to the point on the page where you were when you switch between languages; it is deleted when you close the tab.
4. Analytics Cookies and Third Parties
Google Analytics is used on our marketing site for the purpose of measuring page view counts and general usage trends. This service places its own cookies in order to measure your visit and processes your IP address and browser information. Google Analytics runs only on the marketing site; no analytics tracking takes place inside the management panel. Analytics cookies are not necessary for the service to function. If you do not want these cookies, you may use your browser's cookie blocking settings or a tracker blocking extension, and you may also switch off measurement using the opt-out tool provided by Google. The site also sends requests to ipapi.co in order to estimate your currency preference and to ipinfo.io in order to determine your approximate location in security alerts. These requests do not place cookies, but they do mean that your IP address is transmitted to the relevant service.
5. Managing and Deleting Cookies
From the settings section of your browser you can view cookies, delete them individually or all at once, and prevent them from being placed in future. From the same section you can also clear the contents of localStorage and sessionStorage. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you may be unable to sign in or your session may close repeatedly. If you clear functional storage, your theme and currency preferences will revert to their defaults. In incognito tabs or in browser configurations where storage is blocked, these preferences cannot be saved; in such cases the site operates with default settings.
6. Changes
This policy is updated as the technologies we use change. The current version is always published on this page, and the last updated date at the top of the page shows you which version you are reading.
You may send your questions about the use of cookies to [email protected]. For your rights regarding the processing of your personal data, please see the KVKK Disclosure Statement.
